Every December, we look back on the year that was and ask ourselves a question: Was It A Good Year?How would you like to answer that question with a resounding... YES, This Year I Helped A Child Live!I'll tell you how you can do it, and become a hero - to your family, to your friends, to me, and to everyone who reads this letter. All for the cost of just a $25 donation.
But first, let me tell you a story... It's the story of a little girl named Rajeswari.
She's breathless; cannot run and play with her friends; has frequent infections that keep her out of school. Untreated, the condition will shorten her life. But fixing it requires an operation - Open Heart Surgery. It was complex. It was risky. Worse, it was costly. Rajeswari's father earns Rs.1,300 (approx US$30) every month. Her surgery costs Rs.100,000 (US $2,250). But on October 1st, 2006, she had her operation. Her heart defect was repaired. She is now back at school, healthy and happy, a cheerful smile on her face.
